Happy 2021!
As you can see I took a break from blogging. I am so happy to be back and ready to share all my creativeness with you! I had a lot of time in 2020 to create! I discovered printables, fussy cuttin, glue sticks, mixed media memberships, alcohol markers, real smash books, and so much more.
In the Summer I fell upon the Reset Girl (TRG) and her community. I went to “Summer camp” for the first time and it was SO MUCH FUN! I think it was so fun for me because Camp reset was a make believe fun place to socialize, complete creative challenges and best of all to meet new gals with the same love of everything crafty. So I will restart my blog there, give you a look at my Camp Reset smash book. What i like most about TRG is her vintage girls a.k.a Honeys, and all of the vintage goodness that’s in her kits. Her smash book was plum full!!
Welcome to camp ya’ll! Get ready to have some fun! Isn’t the camp map neat!? The Camp Reset site was amazing. We got to pick cabins ( in forum style) to join and chat with cabin mates. The camp map was center of it all. You clicked on where you wanted to go and poof, there you were! I was really impressed with everything..web site creator props!
All the campers were super nice! During Cori’s live stream sessions on YouTube we were all able to “talk” via the chat. I never knew that was possible!? (Hello...where have I been?) We collected badges for all the challenges we completed, and the banner was where we could put them. I put a picture of my grandma Verna when she was camping on my badge holder. My grandma and grandpa loved to camp.
Almost every Summer we would go camping, it was the best!
My big sis and I got to go to camp a couple of tmes when we were younger and we loved it. It was one of the best parts of my childhood.
My favorite activities at camp! Well...maybe not the water skiing.
I LOVED lawn darts and horse shoes growing up..who cares if you could impale yourself with the dart...cripes it was fun!
Rainy day activities..no fun when it rains at camp! But as you can see, there was lots to do! I like putting different things (game pieces etc.) in pocket pages and using my fuse tool or clear packing tape to close up the pocket.
Oh yes, I thought camp hair deserved a page in my smash book! I LOVE braiding and I was the queen of french braiding when I was a camper.
Writing home about my camp adventure was a must! Campers in the swap forum did a post card swap. I even got a few! I used a vintage office envelope to put letters in and punched holes in the post cards to include them behind the envelope.
Camp life..
I got a Girl Scout compass awhile back and used the box in the pocket page (plus a twig and wood chip from my yard) ;D I thought it went perfectly with my camping theme. I filled up the rest of the pages with my favorite images from magazines, scrapbook stuff and the web.
I had a hard time finding women in what I think, is good camping wear. Like shorts/pants, and good hiking shoes..
But in the 1950s it seems that they wore lots of dresses and heels!
One thing I admired about the 50’s is that they had Elvis and dances.
Rock in roll and sock hops!
TRG Cori added in pages with prompts. Words, phrases, word search, coloring pages and gratitude pages. I really liked that because sometimes its hard to come up with things to fill the pages.

I hope you enjoyed looking through my book as much as I did making it!
Happy Creating,
Melissa
Just love your summer camp book! What a fun project, I love how you mixed your very own memories, stories and photos with vintage finds, with your virtual summer camp. Just fun and so creative. So glad you are starting 2021 with blogging again.
